3 Card Poker

Poker Eon now offers no limit 3 Card Poker ring games, a variation of the popular game known as 3 Patti, 3 Card Brag, and Flush. In this fast and exciting game, where you can play without seeing your cards, there is no checking, only betting or folding.

The object of the game is to have the strongest 3-card hand according to the hand rank.

Hand Rank
In this game the hardest hand to get is actually not the strongest one.

  • 3 of a Kind The strongest is A-A-A (note that it's different than traditional brag, where a 3-3-3 prial is the strongest). The lowest is 2-2-2.

  • Straight Flush The strongest straight flush is suited A-2-3, followed by suited A-K-Q, suited K-Q-J and so forth down to the lowest - a suited 4-3-2. (2-A-K doesn't qualify).

  • Straight The strongest is A-2-3, followed by A-K-Q, K-Q-J and so forth down to the lowest - a 4-3-2. (2-A-K doesn't qualify).

  • Flush Flushes are compared according to their high card. The highest flush is suited AKJ, and the lowest is suited 532. No suit is better than another.

  • Pair If the pairs are equals the kicker (third card) determines the winner). A-A is the strongest pair, and 2-2 is the lowest.

  • High Card The high card determines the winner when there's no other combination. The Ace is always high.

How to Play
The game is played with a standard 52 deck. To start the round each player places an ante. Then every player gets 3 cards, facing down.

You can either play your cards "blind" (meaning without seeing them at all) or open them to play them "seen". All bets made as "blind" cost half of the "seen" bets.

Unlike other poker games, you can't "check" (passing your turn without betting, calling, or folding), you can either make a bet or fold.

Playing Blind - as a blind player you pay the blind stake. In the beginning it equals the ante. After someone makes a bet, the blind stake equals the bet, and you can either call or raise. You can fold without opening your cards, or open your cards and play seen every time it's your turn to bet.

Playing Seen - The seen players pays seen stakes, which are always double the blind stake. At the start of the game it equals double the ante, and after a bet was made, the stake is double the bet. There is no maximum betting limit.

Players keep on betting or folding until one or two players stay. The betting can keep on going till then, there's no limit on the number of betting rounds.

If 1 player is left and all the other folded he wins all the money in the pot.

If 2 players stayed there is a show:

Buying a Show
The show is when the two last players show their hands to compare them, but here, one player pays for the show to happen.

- If you play blind the show will cost you the current blind stake, and you can see your cards only after you pay for the show.

- If you play seen and the other player is blind you can't buy a show. You can only bet or fold.

- If both of you play seen, then either of you can buy a show at the cost of the seen stake.

Winning
In the show you compare hands, and the stronger hand wins. If the hands are equal, the player who did not pay for the show wins the pot.

If a player or players goes all in, appropriate side pots are created, and the winnings are disturbed accordingly.
